Terms
Terms and conditions
Rules for using this referral guide.
This is an independent referral guide. It connects homeowners with independent providers and may receive compensation. It is not a licensed contractor and it does not do the work.
These terms cover your use of La Mesa Window Guide. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Information, not a bid
The pages are general information for homeowners. They are not a construction bid, not an engineering opinion, not a permit approval, and not legal advice. A sentence on this site can be incomplete or out of date. Confirm permits, codes, and utilities with the agency that actually has jurisdiction over the parcel.
Not the contractor
This is an independent referral guide. It connects homeowners with independent providers and may receive compensation. It is not a licensed contractor and it does not do the work. Nothing on this site is a promise that a provider is available, suitable, licensed, or insured. Check license status yourself with the Contractors State License Board, and ask the provider for the insurance certificates you want to see.
The construction contract, if you sign one, is between you and that provider. This website is not a party to that contract and does not warranty the work.
Safety
Do not remove a bedroom window and board the opening. Sleeping rooms need a legal escape path. This site cannot approve that path.
Referrals and money
The operator may be paid when an introduction leads to work a provider accepts. The details are in the referral disclosure. You do not pay this website to read it.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site, attempt to break the form, or send someone else's personal information without authority. The operator may withdraw or change the site.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for a provider's work, a permit result, a utility decision, or a choice you make from this guide. Some liability cannot be limited. Those rights stay with you.
Law
California law governs these terms. If one sentence is unenforceable, the rest remains.
